Transforming Healthcare Delivery: Strategic Innovation with Health RadarClient: Evolko, Healthcare Startup
Challenge:
Evolko aimed to solve the patient record problem in India, where doctors lacked effective electronic medical record systems. Existing solutions were inadequate, and the busy schedules of doctors, particularly due to high patient volumes, made it difficult to adopt new systems.
Solution:
I introduced the Health Radar, a transformative mobile app that shifted the paradigm of patient health management. By allowing patients to record vital health parameters (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, oxygen levels) and alerting doctors when critical thresholds were crossed, we integrated patient data collection into doctors' workflows. The app empowered doctors to:
  • Receive real-time alerts about their patients' conditions.
  • Communicate with patients via messaging.
  • Schedule appointments and manage prescriptions.
  • Deliver ongoing care to chronic patients.
This solution was integrated with the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system to provide a seamless experience from discharge to follow-up care. As a result, patient engagement and doctor-patient collaboration improved, leading to better health outcomes.

This project demonstrates key management principles that align with business leadership:
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: We identified a critical barrier (lack of time for doctors to record data) and addressed it by shifting data collection to patients. In coaching, we empower executives to think creatively and innovate around challenges.
  • Strategic Execution: The integration of Health Radar into the healthcare ecosystem exemplifies long-term strategic thinking. Coaching emphasizes developing and executing strategies that align with both immediate needs and future goals.
  • Leadership in Change Management: Rolling out Health Radar required influencing both doctors and patients to adopt new practices. In coaching, we focus on guiding leaders through change, fostering buy-in, and driving sustained improvements.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: The success of Health Radar relied on enhancing engagement between patients and healthcare providers, mirroring how coaching encourages collaboration and strong team dynamics to achieve business outcome
