Transforming Pharma Supply Chain Strategic Solutions for Zomeds
Zomeds, a B2B2C company in India with a sizable market share in drug delivery to brick-and-mortar retailers, had the vision to compete with the online competitors through their shortage fulfillment App and delivery network. They needed help to create a way to get a hold of the end patient requirement. Their supply planning depended on the retailer's shortage register - paper register.
I gave them a strategy and product road map that would change how to think about drug delivery and availability to the patients using the retail stores as part of their supply chain.
The strategy ran like this.
The company would finance the small retail stores, and the inventory would be managed and fulfilled based on the drugs sold and delivered to the patients. Patients would order their drugs from the most convenient location for them. A new patient-facing app would be made for retailers who could private label the app. The company wanted to create its own stores or joint ventures with local retailers like a franchise. This would give Zomeds multiple revenue streams- from financing, drug delivery, and higher margins from drug sales while maintaining competitive prices for the patient. It would entail a better hold on the patients as the local stores would deliver drugs for acute requirements within hours instead of days from the online stores.
A funded company bought Zomeds for their strategy and the drug whole-sellers and retailers in their network.

I applied strategic thinking and leadership to overhaul Zomeds' approach to drug delivery:
